April Hill is the Founder of HKH Elder Law, which she opened in 2002. While she no longer takes new cases, she continues to serve the firm in an Of Counsel role.

April earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg in 1997 and holds a B.A. in Social Work. She is a Board-Certified Specialist in Elder Law, certified by both the Florida Bar and the National Elder Law Foundation. She is also a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP) for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

April is a U.S. Army Veteran, having served for three years. As a former adjunct professor at Stetson University College of Law, she taught courses in elder law for several years and continues to teach and speak for community and legal education programs on topics related to elder law.

Prior to founding HKH Elder Law, April was employed by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court, where she played a key role in the establishment of the Elder Justice Center, a unique court program designed to serve elderly individuals in the judicial system.

On a personal note, April and her husband married in 2017. They are active in their church and enjoy cycling and traveling. April also has a daughter who is an elementary school teacher in Pinellas County. Her lifelong hobby is photography, and she has participated in marathons, half marathons, triathlons, and a half Iron Man.
