Jonathan Kinsella
Jonathan serves as the Managing Partner of HKH Elder Law, where he oversees the firm’s operation and practice. He works directly with families in the areas of Medicaid planning, estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Jonathan joined HKH Elder Law in 2015 as an associate attorney and in 2020 became an official Partner in the firm. Jonathan’s desire to work in elder law practice began during his time at Stetson University College of Law. While attending Stetson, Jonathan took many courses in the University’s nationally recognized curriculum in Elder Law. Stetson’s coursework in this area helped Jonathan to develop a firm foundation and solid understanding of the legal issues and challenges many families face as their loved ones age. It was during this time, Jonathan realized he wanted to pursue a career in elder law.
Jonathan and his wife have four children, (three boys and one girl) and two Dobermans. Outside of the office, Jonathan and his wife spend much of their time watching their two older boys play hockey at rinks throughout the state and across the country. They also spend time watching their daughter participate in baton and horse riding as well as watching their youngest son participate in a variety of sports including baseball, soccer and flag football. The family enjoys boating, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, kayaking and working out. Jonathan has a unique personal interest in maritime history, with a particular focus on the RMS Titanic as well as the SS United States, which will soon become the world’s largest artificial reef off Florida’s gulf coast. Jonathan enjoys collecting ocean liner memorabilia and antique automobiles, reflecting his passion for both maritime and automotive history.
