At HKH Elder Law, we get the privilege of serving so many incredible individuals in the elder community. Our monthly Honoring Our Elders series is a chance for our team to share the people who inspired them and helped shape who they are today.
This month, our Managing Partner, Jonathan Kinsella, shares a few words about his honoree: his grandfather.
"My grandfather Dennis Jude is a veteran, a proud West Virginian, and an inspiration to our family. He has one of the best senses of humor of anyone I know, and he loves his family deeply.
I am most inspired by his service to our country. He spent 22 years in the United States Army. 101st Airborne Division out of Fort Campbell. Two years of jump school to become a paratrooper. He served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam from 1964 to 1966, then spent his last years in the Army as a recruiter before retiring in 1981. In 1978, he received an award as the top recruiter for the Miami area.
He taught me the value of service, hard work, and dedication. He taught me to be proud of my roots and to serve others. I carry that with me every day, and I'm grateful for it."
